This past weekend, Junior League’s HACAP Provisional Team delivered bags of toiletries for the 175 residents of Geneva Towers. Many of the residents who live at Geneva Towers live on a limited income and only receive on bag of food a month from HACAP. As we know, toiletries are expensive, through the suggestion of HACAP our group agreed to help the residents by providing them with the following items: shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, conditioner, deodorant and lotion.
Almost half of the items were donated by the St. Ludmila and Immaculate Conception CCD Lenten Service Project, which Mary Locher head coached. The other items were purchased with the funds raised from selling Butter Braids.
Each of the bags were decorated by a student in Brittany Tillman’s class(es).
Thanks to everyone who assisted with this project. The manager of Geneva Towers and our HACAP liason was very pleased and thankful for these donations. They will make a difference.
