Welcome New Members!

JLCR is proud to welcome a brand new group of women into our organization. These ladies officially activated at our January general membership meeting, having spent the first portion of the year raising money for Four Oaks PHASE program and using a portion of the money to purchase Christmas presents for the teens.

As you can see in their brief bios below, this is an incredibly strong group of women. We are excited to have them join our ranks!

	Elizabeth Barron - Liz is originally from Cedar Rapids and lived in Santa Barbara, CA where she studied at the Brooks Institute of Photography. Prior to becoming a part-time photographer, Liz was employed at Honkamp Krueger. Lis loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends.
	Cindy Boyle - Cindy is from Ankeny, IA and recently received her Juris Doctorate in Law from the University of Iowa. Cindy now works as an attorney for Shuttleworth and Ingersoll in Cedar Rapids. Cindy is a fantastic person with many great qualities. Cindy is looking forward to getting involved in the community.
	Erica Bergfeld - Erica grew up in Monticello, IL, and moved to Cedar Rapids four years ago. Erica graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Elementary Education. Erica is employed by Farmers State Bank as a digital marketing specialist. Erica recently joined the Marion Chamber’s Special Events Committee and has been volunteering with Junior Achievement for the past three years.
	Jennifer Byers - Jen is a Cedar Rapidian and attended the University of Iowa, where she received her BS in Psychology and her MA in School Counseling. Currently, Jen is employed by Washington High School and also teaches an evening class. She has a beloved dog, Oliver. Jen enjoys volunteering for her sorority as well as at St. Mark’s UMC and is a senior class advisor, prom planner and show choir choreographer at Washington.
	Janelle Clymer - Janelle is a Cedar Rapidian and attended Jefferson High School. Janelle graduated from Coe College with a BA in Business Administration, PR and Psychology. Janelle is currently working on receiving her MBA from Mount Mercy University. Janelle works for GoDaddy.com as an affiliate marketing manager. Janelle is married to Mike and they have three dogs; Jake, Sadie and Bailey. Janelle enjoys volunteering as an advisor to her college sorority, supporter of the CVHS and St. Paul’s UMC.
	Jodi Cobb - Jodi is a Cedar Rapidian and attended Washington High School and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa. Jodi studied Elementary Education and previously owned Rainbow Days Preschool. Recently, Jodi opened her own clothing boutique, Jodi K’s Clothing Boutique.
	Jessica Cummings - Jessica grew up in Mechanicsville, IA and currently lives in Cedar Rapids where she is employed by Aegon. Jessica loves animals and has a three year old black lab mix, Rudder. Jessica volunteered for the Ladies Titan Tire Challenge/LPGA Developmental Tour last summer and became interested in volunteering with our organization.
	Ellen Davis - Originally from Des Moines, IA, Ellen graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in Business Administration and Management. She also received a double MBA in Health Administration and Public Health. Ellen is currently employed by Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Ellen has a dog, Cooper, and is serving on the Visual Arts Commission for the City of Cedar Rapids.
	Lis Erickson - Lis grew up in Waterloo, IA and attended undergrad at Wartburg College. She also graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, with a Masters in Sport Management. Lis is currently a 4th year PhD candidate in Sport Studies at the University of Iowa. Lis participates with Girls on the Run in Johnson County, as well as being a Big Sister and advisor to Wartburg College service trips.
	Becky Floyd – Dr. Becky Floyd is originally from Florence, South Carolina. She attended undergrad at the University of South Carolina and medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina. Becky is currently a 4th year resident at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Department of Anesthesia.
	Misty Frank - Misty is from Lake Mills and attended NIACC, UNI and received her MBA from the University of Iowa. Misty is employed by Pearson in Iowa City. Misty is married to Dan and together they have two cats, Hercules and Aphrodite. Misty is no stranger to the world of volunteering, as she is currently the president of the America Business Women’s Association (ABWA). She is also a member of the Toastmasters, Jaycees, Lutheran Women’s League, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and more.
	Laura Hammond- Laura is a Cedar Rapidian and attended Washington High School and Kirkwood Community College. Laura is employed by Aegon. Laura and her partner, Matt Stuelke, have two children, Asa and Colton. Laura has already volunteered at Mac and Please as well as Butterfly Kisses.
	Cara Joens - Cara is originally from St. Louis, MO and has made her home in Cedar Rapids. Cara is a proud graduate of Coe College where she majored in Psychology and Gender Studies and now works for the College. Cara is married to Brad Joens and together they have a tabby cat named Murphy Lee. Cara enjoys volunteering for her sorority as well as being a lunch buddy for a student at Polk Elementary.
	Stacy Long - Stacy grew up in Waterloo, IA and attended Waterloo West High School. Stacy is a 2002 graduate of UNI with a BA in Business Finance. Stacy works for Aegon and volunteered with the United Way Day of Caring through the company.
	Beth McDougall - Beth is originally from Des Plaines, IL and attended Alverno College in Houston, TX. She recently moved to Cedar Rapids with her husband and two sons, Max and Owen. Currently, Beth is a stay at home mom and is a member of the Grant Wood PTA. Prior to her family’s move, Beth worked in marketing for Miller Beer and Minute Maid. Beth is passionate about helping animals and was involved with the SPCA.
	Melinda Olson – Melinda is from New Hampton, IA, where she attended high school. She graduated from NIACC with an AA and BA in Business Administration. Melinda spent nearly 10 years working at Aegon, and in late 2009, decided to become a stay at home mom to her two boys, Jace and Wes. Melinda is married to Hans.
	Katy Richter – Katy hails from Dubuque, IA and moved to Cedar Rapids in 2009. She is currently employed by Theatre Cedar Rapids and recently was the star in “White Christmas.” Katy graduated from the University of Iowa in 2008 with degrees in Music, Finance and Theatre. She enjoys theatre performance and participated in the Dance Marathon at the University of Iowa.
	Maggie Sellers-Casebolt - Dr. Maggie Sellers-Casebolt is originally from Chariton, IA and attended UNI with a degree in Biology. She then graduated from the Palmer College of Chiropratic with a Doctorate of Chiropractic receiving high honors. Maggie is married to Matt and together they have two daughters, Emma and Tessa, as well as a black lab, Allie. Maggie is a volunteer at the Free Medical Clinic and MDA Lockup. Maggie also volunteered at the Ladies Titan Tire Challenge.
	Katie Schroeder – Dr. Katie Schroeder attended Luther College and just graduated from the University of Iowa- College of Dentistry. Katie works at People Community Health Center and enjoys helping at free dental clinics for both adults and children. Katie is married to Jon Schroeder and they have a dachshund, Godiva.
