For 75 years, Junior League of Cedar Rapids (JLCR) has been “getting it done” in the Cedar Rapids community. Projects such as EIEIO at Old Mac Donald’s Farm in Bever Park, the Madge Phillips Center (Waypoint), the Science Station, along with the development of Leadership for Five Seasons and Playtime Poppy are prime examples of what JLCR can accomplish. While the organization’s power lies within its source of over 300 volunteers and its commitment to train them, JLCR’s impact in the community would not be possible without monetary support from individual donors as well as corporate sponsors.

Please join JLCR in promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community by making a financial gift today. There are multiple ways to give to JLCR, with all being tax-deductible. Each gift builds the foundation of the hundreds of women who make up the organization and their collective efforts to “get it done.”

• The ANNUAL FUND underwrites all of JLCR’s activities from sending members to national leadership training conferences, to giving community grants, to publishing this website. A gift to the Annual Fund allows the board fiscal flexibility and ensures JLCR exists in the here and now.

• The ENDOWMENT, ensures JLCR will exist in the future. Supporting the endowment allows your gift to have an impact over a longer period of time as opposed to being put to use fully and immediately.  The ENDOWMENT not only allows JLCR the financial stability for today, but allows JLCR to plan for the future as well. 

• JLCR also welcomes any PLANNED GIFTS, as these express a desire to see JLCR extend beyond one’s own time. Including JLCR in your estate plan, setting up a leadership scholarship or naming JLCR a beneficiary of a charitable trust exemplify a person’s dedication to JLCR’s commitment to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community. In return for your tax deductible gift, JLCR will recognize your generosity through different marketing opportunities which can include sponsorship recognition in our electronic newsletter as well as the Report to the Community, your business logo on the JLCR web site and much more.
