The second annual Lil’ Kids & Big Rigs was be held at Hawkeye Downs on September 27, 2009 from 12 - 4 PM. KHAK was present at the event broadcasting live.  There were over 40+ vehicles present including: dump trucks, semi’s, race cars, crane, excavator, garbage truck, snowplow, firetruck, military vehicles, motorcycles, an ambulance, police car and more.

Activities included:

Face Painting, Big Wheel Races, Cake Walk, Inflatable Jumping/Rock and Climbing Wall!  The Cedar Rapids Police department will be present to do fingerprinting along with D.A.R.E. car and Papa Balloon.

Cinderella was present from 12-1 and performances by Movement Dance Company and Twisters were ongoing through-out the day.

Make plans to join Junior League of Cedar Rapids in this great event in 2010 and help raise money for Junior League projects and programs.
