| General Membership Meeting (GMM) | General membership meetings are monthly meetings to bring all members together to conduct League business. Occasionally, guest speakers are present, including individuals from organizations JLCR has supported or those who are there to educate members on a certain topic.
These meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month, from September-May. |

| Focus | We vote on a focus area for a three year commitment and then find a project(s) to fit within that area. Currently, JLCR focuses on women and children. |

| Organizational Development Institute (ODI) |
A series of meetings held by AJLI. Each ODI is designed to provide League Leaders with fundamental mission-based training in the areas of Community Impact, Leadership Development, Organizational Capacity Building through fund development as well as a Leadership Course designed for the Presidents-Elect. |
| Placement | Each member fulfills part of her membership obligation by committing herself to do volunteer work on a league committee or project. Placement is the annual process by which each member, with the help of her Advisor, selects that committee or project. |
| Provisionals | New members of the JLCR preparing for Active Membership by taking the Provisional course |
| Reaching Out Statement | Junior League of Cedar Rapids reaches out to all women, regardless of race, color, religion, or national origin who demonstrate an interest in and a commitment to voluntarism. |
| Sustainer | Member who have served as an active JLCR member for at least 5 years. |
| Volunteer Service Aware (VSA) | JLCR members who contribute at least 100 volunteer hours to League projects in a 12-month consecutive period are eligible to receive the U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award and the AJLI Volunteer Service Award.
