Join us as JLCR partners with Hy-Vee to help families learn how to make healthy snacks at Kids in the Kitchen events at three area Hy-Vee
Kids and their families are invited to attend one of three Kids in the Kitchen sessions from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the following Hy-Vee locations:

Junior League of Cedar Rapids (JLCR) members participated in a clothing drive in January called Metro Threads, which benefits students at Metro High School as they prepare to enter the workforce. The drive was one of JLCR’s Done in a Day (DIAD) projects, which are community service projects that are done one day out of every month from September through May.

The membership committee is extremely proud of the work that the new members have done and will continue to work on in the New Year. These ladies are passionate, determined and enthusiastic, and JLCR is lucky and proud to have them as members.

Another successful Done In a Day (DIAD) project has been completed! DIADs are JLCR’s smaller community service projects that are done one day out of every month from September through May.

Three Junior League of Cedar Rapids (JLCR) members have received Forty Under 40 awards.
Jennifer Higgins-Bleil, Kristin Roberts, and Laurie Wahlert were selected from a record number of nominations for the annual Corridor Business Journal award. The Corridor Business Journal Forty Under 40 awards recognize local men and women who have made a significant impact in their business or community early in their careers.
